357. Pulakesh De Sarkar (1909-1990), 358. Pulin Chandra Ghosh ( ? - 1930)

Pulakesh De Sarkar was born in Mahakali of Bikrampur, Dhaka (Bangladesh) in 1909. He took his education in Coochbehar, his father's working place. He participated in frredom movement since his admission in Victoria College. From 1925 to 1937he was imprisoned at least for 7 years.He also joined in Anushilan Samity. He came in contacts with Jibatara Haldar,Trailakya Chakrabarty, Sunil Das, Pannalal Dasgupta, Soumen Tagore etc. His works " PHansir ashirbad", "Baseviki Sankalpa", "Biplab Pathe Bharat" was banned by British Govt.Police suddenly attacked a public meeting at Dhupgiri he became senseless and fell down being wounded. He retired from Politics and got married. After his marriage he took writing and journalism as his profession in 1938.He was awarded with " Tamrapatra" by Govt of India, Swest Bengal and Assam in 1972." Ha atit katha kao", a dialectical history of freedom movement of India from 1928 to 1947., Ke pratham Shaheed, kingsford hatya mamla are his famous works. He was elected President in "Harinath De Satabarshiki", Saheed Prafulla Chaki. The later committee awarded him with "Prafulla Chaki Padak".

Pulin Chandra Ghosh was born in Chittagong. he participated in Chittagong Armoury Raid on 18.4.1930. He died on 22nd April being wounded in fighting with British army in Jalabad Hill.
