283. Nagendrashekhar Chakrabarty (1893-1980), 284. Nani Gopal Dev (1913-1979)

Nagendrashekhar was born in Faridpur in 1893. He was beaten with cane for picketing in front of a Salt Shop of England. He joined in Anushilan Samity and Sadhana Samity, founde by Hemendrakishore Acharya Choudhury. He along with Jadugopal Mukherjee and others passed 2/3 years with much difficulty at the border of China to collect weapons. After coming back in 1918 he had to go intern in Jail. He joined non-cooperation movement and was imprisoned for 1924-28. At this time he inspired the villagers with magic lantern with the help of Jnananjan Neogi. He was again arrested in Mymensing in 1930 after Chittagang Armoury Raid and remained imprisoned upto 1938. He was also arrested in 1942 before August Biplab and was released after independence. He organised the female revolutionaries in Mymensing. He was one of the organizer of Biplabi Niketan of Calcutta.

Nani Gopal Dev was born in Chittagang, the working place of his father. He joined in the Revolutionary organisation of Surya Sen during student life.He joined in an auxiliary  team of the Armoury Raid. He fought against the British army in Jalalabad hill on 22nd April. After one and half month he was arrested in Coomillah. He was released n 1938.
