260. Debaprasad Gupta (1911-1930), 261. Devi Choudhurani (18th Century)



Debaprasad Gupta was born in 1911 in Dhaka. He joined the revolutionary organisation of Surya Sen during his college life and participated in the Chittagang Armoury Raid on 18.4.1930. He won in the battle against the army in Jallalabad hill on 22.4.30.But during attack in Saheb Para in Colour Pole of Chittagang on 6th May,1930, he became wounded and then committed suicide.


Devi Choudhurani was a companion of Bhabani Pathak , a famous leader of  Sannyasi Rebellion. With her assistance Bhabani Pathak took a group of Rebel Soldiers and did looth and arson of the traders of English and local zaminders. Their united action caused stalemate of the administration of the East India Company. Even after the death of Bhabani Pathak such situation happened to prevail.
