369. Pratap Chandra Guha Roy (1887-1982), 370.Prativa Bhadra Roy (1914-1991)

Pratap Chandra was born in 1887 in Faridpur. He was a journalist and a member Jugantar Dal.Later he joine in the movement launched by Gandhiji. Having been connected with Deshabandhu Chittaranjan he became an organizer of Swarajya Dal. He was imprisoned for 15 years for joining in Freedom Movement.He was the Vice-Chairman of MLC from 1952-65 and remained Chairman till it is dissolved.

Prativa Bhadra Roy was born in Coomilla in 1914. She was married to Harikumar Roy Choudhury. She joined   Anushilan Samity at he end of 1929. She worked among the ladies and motivated them to be cooperative with the revolutionaries, to give shelter to underground workers, and to help them in keeping secret papers, arms and ammunitions to safe custody.She participated in organising meetings, Rallies, Strikes, and picketing in Coomilla at  the  Civil disobedience movement  in 1930.He was imprisoned in Hijli Jail from 1932-36. Then she was kept intern in her own residence and was released in 1938. In 1939 when Subhas Chandra formed a separate party after cutting his connection with the parent organisation, she joined with Subhas Chandra Bose and became assistant secretary in female section.She was arrested in 1942 and had to remain in Jail Custody upto 1945.In 1946 she joined in RSP and was elected as a member of Provincial Committee.She was an editor of "Angana" magazine from 1952 for about 10 years.
