315. Narayan Chnadra De . 316. Narayan Roy, Dr (1900-1973)

NarayanChandra De was a prominent member of Anushilan Samity. He went to Banaras to avoid arrest by the police and joined the revolutionary group there. In Nov 1916, he was arrested for distributing leaflets and imprisoned for long time.

Narayan Roy, Dr. was born in Calcutta in 1900. He was a famous physician and a Communist Leader. He was convicted for Dalhousie and Calcutta bomb case in 1930. He was one of the pioneer of forming  Communist Coordination. He was the younger councilor of Calcutta Corporation. He became interested in Marxism initiated by Kali Sen while he was in Alipore jail. The British Govt. was forced to release the prisoners of Andaman under presure by the   movement  of the public. After being relwased in 1939, he was involved directly in Communist Party. Party was then banned He was elected representative of West Bengal assembly during 1952-1968. He joined in Communist Party of India (Marxist) when Communist Party was divided.
