Nagendra Kumar was born in 1886 in Noakhali. He was a freedom fighter and a biographer. His name from the roll of class IX in his school was truck off for he conducted a rally opposing the felicitation of the Lieutenant Governor of West Bengal and Assam.He then joined the National School and became a member of Anti-circular Society". He was a Moktar in Noakhali Court.He was also connected at first with Anushilan Samity and then with Jugantar. He had undergone intern in a village of Jalpaiguri for three years. He suffered imprisonment several times for participating in Congress and Khilafat movement. In 1939 he joined Forward Bloc and became District President.He was honoured by Govt. of India after Independence in 1972 with a Copper Plate.his main works are Life of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Saheed Yugal etc.
Nagendranath Gupta was born in 1909 in Barisal. In his early days he became inspired with patriotism. He participated in non-cooperation movement in 1920, in revolutionary movement bin 1926 and student movement in 1928.He was district president of Bangiya Pradeshik Chatra Sangha.He was arrested in 1932 and was iimprisoned for 6 years in different jails. He was connected with Biplabi Niketan.
