230. Jyotish Chandra Ghosh (1883-1971), 231.Jyotish Chandra Joardar (1905-1983)

Jyotish Chandra Ghosh was born in Bardwan in 1883. He was known as "Master mashai". He opposed the circular of the British Govt. titled "Raijali circular" and tried for student's participation in Politics.He was closely  connected with Arabindo Ghosh. He started his political career from 1905.He got imrisoned for 20years on different grounds.He was a co-prisoner with Subhas Chandra Bose in the same jail.in 1924 in Mandalay.He presided over the political conference in Dhaka in 1940,. He was President of Provincial Forward Bloc and MLA for 1946 and1952,

Jyotish Chandra Joardar was a revolutionary in the revolutionary age.He entered politics while he was a student. He was close folloer of  Subhas Chandra Bose. and one of the leader of F0rward Bloc. He was imprisoned for long period.
