Jnan Chandra Majumdar was born in Mymensing in 1899. He was one of the front rank leader of Anusilan Samity. He came in contact with the founder, P.Mitra, and took oath after being member in Anusilan Samity. He took important responsibilities in different works of the Samity in 1906-1910. He was connected with Dacoity cases in Dhaka for political reasons.In 1916 he was arrested in D.I. rule and was releasede in 1919. He was the Secretary of Mymensing Congress Committe for long period and then became president.He going agaist the high commands of Congress Committee was elected as a member in Bengal constituent Assembly being nominated by Subhas Chandra Bose. He remained in East Pakistan after patition upto 1967 and was a member of legislative member there.
