Bengal Provincial Students' Federation arranged a protest rally to express solidarity with the freedom fighters of Vietnam on 21st January, 1947. Police fired five rounds in that rally. Two students died due to this firing. One was Dhira Ranjan Sen and the other was Sukhendu Vikash.
Dhiren Dey was born in Mymensing. He joined revolutionary party in his teens. An I.B. surgent tried to open his mouth for three days and nights and had beaten him to death. The surgent had circulated that he was murdered by his anti-group.
