818. Sidhu Makjhi 819. Sindhubala Devi (1895-1929) , 820. Sindhubala Maity (1920-1942)

Sidhu Majhi was born in Bhagnadihi, Santal Pargana. He was the greatest leader of Santal Rebellion. Due to treacherous activities of some person he was arrested and shoot to death.



Sindhubala Devi (1895-1929) was born in Indus,Bankura. She was pioneer of he female revolutionaries. During Indo-German conspiracy she and her husband gave shelter to fugitive revolutionaries in her Railway quarter and for this an warrant was issued in her name. She was then preganant and stayed in Indus village. The Police made her walking in the street on that condition to bring her to Bankura Jail and kept her confined. She was released in 1928 due to a movement launched for this reason.



Sindhubala Maity was born in Midnapore and joined in Quit India movement. She died out of torture for extreme torture inflicted on her.
