759. Sakharam Ganesh Deuskar (1869-1922), 760. Satinath Bhaduri (1906-1965)

Sakharam Ganesh Deuskar was a journalist and patriotic.He was born in Kabogram near Baidyanathdham.He was born in a Marathi family. As a journalist he used to describe different incidents of tyranny of British Magistrate in Hitabadi magazine for which he came in the sight of British authority. He became editor of Hitabadi magazine in 1903. When he was under the pressure by the authorities, he resigned from the posts of Secretary and joined in National Education Federation in Bengali and History. He published his book " Desher Katha" in 1905. The British Govt. banded the book in 1910. During anti-partition movement of and later in National movement this book caused tremendous inspiration to countrymen. He analysed in this book the effect of suppression of British Colonial Rule on the Indian trade and industry. He wrote that the King has every right of expansion till the subjects came under its rule - is the idea of British Authority. His important work is "mukti kon Pathe" (1906).


Satinath Bhaduri was born in Purnia, Bihar. He was a lawyer. He joined as an ordinary worker in Congress leaving his lawyer. He remained confined in Bhagalpur jail as a political prisoner during 1940-41 and 1942-44. He wrote at t his time a novel "Jagari' . He got Rabindra Puraskar in 1950. He left Congress and joined socialist party ion 1948.
