600. Mohini Roy, 601. Mohinisankar Roy (1285-1349)

Mohini Roy participated in civil disobedience movement at the age of 16/17. He kept hoisted Natoinal flag in his village in-spite of severe duress by the police and he died due to the inhuman torture by the police.


Mohinisankar Roy was an important worker of Sadhana Samaj, a revolutionary organisation in Memensingh and was one of the colleague of Hemendra Kishore Roychoudhury in his revolutionary work. He participated in anti-partition of Bengal of 1905 and all sorts of patriotic movement. He remained underground for a long period during WWI. He was imprisoned for participating in non-cooperation movement in 1921.
