Mohini Devi was born in Dhaka. She took her lesson from Ramtanu Lahiri, Sivnath Shastri etc. She was arrested in 1921-22 for participating in non-cooperation movement and also in 1930-31 for participating in Civil Disobedience movement. She was praised eloquently for delivering a lecture as a president of the conference of All India Womens' Federation. At the time of riot between Hindu and Muslim, she stayed in her own house congested with Muslim Population and propagated the message of unity between the two communities. She was regarded by all. Mohini Roy was born in coomillah. She participated in Salt Satyagraha in Bagu of north 24-Parganas. The police had mecilessly assaulted him and brought him to Barasat jail where he was declared dead. She was the vice-Chairperson of Nari Satyagraha Samity.
