493. Bhabesh Chandra Nandy (1902-1982), 494. Bhabesh Chandra Bhaduri (1911-1982)

Bhabesh Chandra Nandy was born in Hooghly.He came in contact with the revolutionary leader Jatin Roy and got training in social work, Physical Culture, and public contacts.He came to his ancestral house at Dhaka and began doing revolutionary work there. Their house was the centre for revolutionaries. He was closely linked with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He passed long prison life . After partition he took up to protect Human Rights and wanted to expedite that. His role to form Congress organisation in East pakistan was praise worthy. he was elected as a member of Pakistan Constituent Assembly. He visited many countries of the globe as a member of minority commission. He published a magazine, titled "Amar Desh" in relation to this. He took active role in the freedom struggle of Bangladesh.


Bhabesh Chandra Bhaduri was a colleague of Subhas Chandra Bose. He went to Germany with a scholarship in 1938 where restrictions on his movement was issued. As a result he had to face difficulty in receiving currency. He got a service in a company when he was almost penniless. When Netaji came to Germany in 1941, he had contact with him.He was in charge of broadcasting news of Azad Hind from Holland.The Natsis and as well as the allies put him to jail for some time.
