Shachin Basu (1) was an influential student leader in the age of British Rule. He was held in Rawalpindi Jail under rule three in 1908.He was the secretary of Anti circular Society and editor of :"Byansa and Banijya" magazine.
Shachin Basu (2) [ Khoka Basu] was born in Khulna. He was associated with Jessore-Khulna Yuba Sangha from his student life. He joined Salt Satyagraha in 1930.He got Communist Party membersship in 1933.He was the main promoter of Peasants Conference in Moubhog village of Khulna. He took the leadership of Canal Openning in digging Barajola Khal. He done excellent job in the famine of 1943-45 of Bengal.He was the main architect of Te-bhaga movement in Moubhog in 1946. After partition he remained in East Pakistan and organised peasants movement.
Shachin Mitra was born in Jessore. He was elected General Secretary of Jessore-Khulna Yuba Sangha in 1927. He was associated with revolutionary movement. He was in Jail for five years without trial from 1932. after release he became a member of Communist Party. He joined in Yugantar Patrika from 1940 for 25 years.
