6.Atindranath Basu (3.2.1873 - 10.6.1965)

Atindranath Basu was born in north Calcutta on 3.2.1873. He was one of the front ranking leader of Jugantar Revolutionary Organisation. He was arrested several times for participating in freedom struggle of India.
To develop the body and mind of the young people of India he founded a school named
" Maheshalay". In 1925 he arranged to celebrate " Sarbojanin Durgatsab" so that  the poor and reach people   could participate freely. " Swadeshi Mela" was arranged in the Puja pandel.  In 1926, he founded "Simla Bayam Samity" in north Calcutta physical culture. . In 1932 the British Government declared it as an illegal organisation where the revolutionaries  could prepare their revolutionary work.
