Ananta Kumar was boen in Barisal on 15.04.1901.. He was linked with Barisal Sankar Math and Jugantar Dal at about 14 years of age. Graduallyhe came in contact with the revolutiinaries of Dakshineswat.In 1925, he was arrested on the plea of Dakshineswar conspiracy case and convicted for 5 years RI.
In 1926, a police superindendant was assassinated inside the jail and he was convicted to 10 years deportation. He had to remain in different jails in Burma for 6 years and then from 1933 to 1938 he remained in Andaman jail.
After release he cut of all connections from politics.
