Anathbandhu was born in Midnapore on 29.10. 1911 at Jalabindu under Sabong Thana. He lost his father at the age of three and lived with his widow mother Kumudini and elder brother Surendranath.At first he was admitted inPathsala of Bhuban Pal and the he went with his mother to Midnapore and got admitted in Sujaganj Primary School. But he could not continue his studies due to his economic stringency. he joined a revolutionary organisation, Bengal Volunteers and under the direction of the organisation got admotted in Collegiate School. He came in close contact with Braja Kishore Chakraborty, Amar Chatterjee etc of Ballabhpur Gymnasium and became an undaunted revolutionary. Anathbandhu and Mrigen Dutta was acquitted on murder charge of the district magistrate of Midnapore, Burge. During the half time of the football match in Police parad ground Burge was killed on 2.9.33 but Anathbandhu was killed instantly by the body guard of the DM. and Mrigen Dutta died in the hospital on the next day.
