Dhirendranath Bhowmik was the father of Haripada Bhowmik. At the call of Netaji he joined in the advance party of INA and went to Rangoon via singapore and took military training. He was posted as Lieutenant He was then appointed as a front line defender in Assam front.When he had gone to collect information from the enemy's camp he became wounded by opponent's bomb and his left hand was hanging from his body. In extreme pain he asked his comrade, Sushil Kastagir, to kill him .Though he recovered by losing one of his hand in th base hospital. He became known as Hatkata Haripada.
Haripada Mahajan was born in Chittagong. He was an associates of Masterda . He remained underground for 8 months after the Chittagong Armoury Raid. he reached Burma on foot through Khakyar.He suffered a lot and ultimately died.
Haripada Maity was born in Midnapore. He died in police bullet during attacking of Bhagabanpur Thana in Quit India movement.
