105. Upendra Kishore Roy (1899 - 1965), 106. Upendranath Bandyopadhyay (1879-1950)

Upendra Kishore was born in Mymensing in 1899.From his early days he was attached with Jugantar Dal. In 1916 he was convicted in the murder case of the police inspector Madhusudan Bhattacharya. But for want of evidence he was released. He was again confined to jail for 1918-1920 without any legal procedures. Later he joined Forward Bloc. He was confined to jail for four years for participating Quit India movement.

Uprndranath was born in Chandannagr in 1879. He was a freedom fighter, a revolutionary, and a journalist. He joined the revolutionary organisation while he was reading in B.A. He was attached with the Jugantar and Bandemataram news magazine during Bengal anti-partition days in 1905.He was sent to Andaman jail for life imprisonment in 1909 being convicted in Alipore Bomb Case in 1908. He was released after twelve years.He was again arrested in 1923 in DI rule and released on 1926. He then took journalism as his career.He was editor of Basumati till his death from 1945. He was the President provincial Hindu Mahasabha from 1949.
His important works were "Nirbasiter Atmakatha", Pather Sandhane etc.
