16. Anil Chandra Ghosh ( 1905 - 1979)

Anil Chandra Ghosh was born in Dacca on 17.1.1905. His father Jagadish Chandra Ghosh was translator Gita in Bengali. Anil Chandra Ghosh was a freedom fighter. In his early hours he joined the revolutionary organisation " Srisangha". During Civil Disobedience in 1930, he was working keeping himself underground. But he  was arrested in 1934 and was confined to jail for four years. He  was again arrested in 1942 when he was working in Quit india movement and was released just before India won freedom. he came to Calcutta in 1950 . " Biratte bangali", Byayame Bangali, Bignane Bangali etc are amongst his important works.
