Bibhuti Bhushan Dasgupta was born in Dhaka in 1904. He joined Non-Cooperation movement leaving his study in the college at the call of Gndhiji. Deshabandhu C.R.Das launched a Satyagraha movement against the illegal and whimsical activities of the Mahantis of Tarakeshwar . Bibhuti Bhushan courted arrest with all his men in joining the Satyagraha. He joined in all the programmes of the Congress since his early age. Many times he remained intern and arrested. He also had intimate connection with the armed revolutionaries.He left Congress and founded Loksevak Sangha and became the head of the orgnisation.He was the chief architect of the movement of inclusion of inhabitants of Bengalees in Purulia with Bihar.He was closely linked with all the movemebts of Purulia
