417. Banalata Dasgupta, Nina (1915-1936, 418. Banalata Sen, Chakrabarty (1925-1988)

Banalata Dasgupta was born in Dhaka in 1915. She got herself educated in the famous St. John Diocesan Girls' CollegeWhile she  was a student she asked other students not to put on foreign clothes.She could ride cycle and motor.She became an apprentice in the Bengal Flying Club of Behala in 1933.She was confined to jail for few years for keeping some pistols in the hostel and had to stay in Hijli and Presidency Jail as a prisoner.She got illness and died in Medical College.

Banalata Sen, Chakrabarty was born in Faridpur in 1915. She was brought up in the atmosphere of Patriotism.She was inspired in work for her mother land learning stories of revolutionaries and Non-Cooperation movement of 1921 from her mother.She entered in politics in 1930 and joined Anushilan Samity.She had been connected in Inter Provincial Conspiracy Case of Titagarh. She became secretary of All Bengal Girls' Students' Union. She joined with Subhas Chandra Bose when he left Congress in 1939. She was in front of a rally of Quit India Movement in 1942 and was assaulted by the police and got lathi charges. She became wounded and jailed for three years in Presidency Jail. She was released in 1945 and was married with revolutionary Saroj Kumar Chakranbarty of Anushilan Samity.She worked for the relief of riot stricken people of Calcutta in 1946.She also participated in Trade Union movement.
