111. Urmila Devi (1883-1956), 112. Urmilabala Paria ( ? - 1930)

Urmila was born in the village teliabagh of Vikrampur of District  Dhaka . She was the younger sister of Chittaranjan Das. She founded a Nari Karm mandir in 1921. The main aim of this organisation was to popularize Charka and Khaddar and to inspire love for the country and to motivate the aims of the freedom struggle. This organisation took the responsibility of  illegal meetings and to conduct freedom movement. She was among the three who joined non-cooperation movement launched by Gandhiji in 1930. She went to jail by participating in the salt Satyagraha. After the death of Santosh Mitra and Tarakeshwar SEn in Hijli Jail in 1931, she tried to explain the severe conditions of the jails. She regularly contributed in Narayan Patrika of Deshabandhu. She wrote, "Pushpahar".

Urmibala Praria was born in Khetua, Midnapore. He participated in civil disobedience movement in 1930, She was beaten mercilessly for participating in the protest of collection of taxes for guards. As a result she died instantly. She was the first martyr died for participating in Satyagraha movement in 1930.
