In Coomilla Nazrul established himself as a lyricist and singer of patriotic songs which inspired the youths of Bengal. He came to Coomilla in Nov 1921 and there was a call for General Bandh. Nazrul taking a harmonium on his shoulder moved from street to street singing patriotic songs with his followers. After coming to Calcutta in Dec 1921, he constructed song, " Karari lauha kapat, bhenge phel korle lopat" and "Bidrohi".
Till this date no such inspiring song has been constructed by any lyricist.
