871. Haripada Chattopadhyay (1897-1967), 872. Haripada Bal, Tegra, 873. Haripada Bharati (!922-1982)

Haripada chattopadhyay was born in Nadia. He passed M.Sc. in the 1st Class. He suffered prison life for some terms for participating in Non-Cooperation movement, Civil disobedience movement and Quit India Movement. He was one of the founder of Coomillah Abhoy Ashram and was an worker there. He was member of Legislative assembly from 1937-1951. Then he was a member of West Bengal Legislative Assembly. in 1962 and 1967 he waselected as an independent candidate in the Loksabha. He was renowned for an experienced Parliamentarian and Good speaker.


Haripada Bal, tegra was born in Chittagong. He participated in Chittagong Armoury Raid on 18.4.1930. He massacred the British Soldiers while he was in underground in Jallalabad Hills. In this battle he and 9 others became martyr. At the time of death he was 13 years old. Loknath, one of the eminent fighter was his elder brother.


Haripada Bharati was born in Jessore. He was a  Professor in different colleges.He was famous for his eloquent speech . He had undergone jail many times for participating in Freedom movement. He was also detained when Indira Gandhi declared Emergency. He was attache from the very beginning with Janata Dal when it was formed.
