Sashibala Dasi was born in Midnapore. She died in police firing during attack of Keshpur Thana.


Sashibhusan Manna was born in Midnapore. He died in police firing during attacking of Mahishadal Thana in Quit India movement.


Santashree Majumdar's father, Dhirendra Chandra Bhaumik was an active member of Anusilan Samity. Netaji Subhas Chandra wanted to form a Nari Sena Bahini, unafraid of death, she took the proposal. Her mother kept her in the head office of Rani Jhansi Bahini before Captain Swaminathan. She joined in this Bahini at the age of 13.  She went to Rangoon within a few day. After her training in the Camp she was elected as officer in the secret service of the Bahini. In that meeting she put a  mark on the fore head of Netaji Subhas Chandra. She came home in 1945 at the advice of Netaji.She remained underground at home for some time. She burnt to ashes all the papers at the instruction of Netaji. As a result the British soldiers ould not arrest her without any prove.
