375. Prafulla Chakrabarty ( ?-1907)

Prafulla Chakrabarty was born in Rangpur . His father was a brave patriotic Ishanchandra working as a clerk in Rangpur Collctorate. He and Prafulla Chaki were the firsty students in the National School formed in Rangpur.He came to Calcutta aqnd joined the revolutionary organisation of Barin Ghosh. While experiment was done with the Bomb prepared by Ullaskar Dutta near Digharia Hill of Deoghar , he died due to explotion.Though he died in 1907 before Prafulla Chaki , the leader of the team Barin Ghosh did not declare hinm as the first martyr as his death was accidental. He said his name may be put at the top of the list of persons died for freedom struggle.
