Sir Ashutosh was born in Pabna in 1860. He was a renowned Barrister, a social worker, and a freedom fighter.He passed B.A. and M.A. in the same year 1880 from Presidency College.He also passed B.a. from Cambridge University in 1885 and passed Barristery in 1886.
He emphasised in self sufficiency keeping aside begging by the then Congress.He, in his presidencial speech, in the Congress session of 1904, said a subject race has no politics.He participated in organising Congress Parishd in every district, Rakhibandhan, and anti-Bengal partition movement. He took a leading role in foundation of National Council of Education on 16th Nov 1905.he took initiative in forming Bengal Technical College for spread of industry and to establish Bangalakshi Cotton Mills. He was the judge of Calcutta High from 1912 to 1920. The hunter Kumudnath and litterateur Pramatha Choudhury (Birbal) were his brothers.
Ashutosh Das was born in Hooghly district in 1888. He was a evolutionary leader and a social activist. He was bachelor. He joined Anushilan Samity while reading in College. He established revolutionary organisation in hooghly district.He passed the MB in 1914 from Medical college. He served the flood victims of North Bengal in 1922. He participated Civil Disobedience movement in 1933-34. He was imprisoned several times. He wa a member of Pradesic coomittee and Central Committee of Congress for long time. He was closely associated with Mahatma Gandhi. He died in malignant malaria in 1941 during participation of non-cooperation movement.
